Public Conference with Indigenous Elders

Tuesday 26th October 2010, 7pm

School of Oriental and African Studies, London

A group of 8 indigenous elders will arrive in London on Tuesday the 26th October.  They come to share an important message with the West. The group represents a variety of different indigenous communities:  Maya, Kuna, Mapuche & Aymara, the eldest of them is 110 years old. They will be making this momentous journey to share their teachings and wisdom of the earth. They come to reaffirm the messages that it is time to re-connect with Mother Earth in order to overcome a global environmental disaster.

These elders come from “the cultures of the Earth” and they are motivated by a deep concern for the planet and its peoples. Their visit forms part of a much wider popular movement in which indigenous peoples are uniting in an effort to raise awareness of the devastating effects of managing the earth as a ‘natural resource’ instead of understanding our planet as a living entity. They want to express the urgent and immediate need for change.

Native Spirit Foundation in collaboration with SOAS Students Union invite you to share the wisdom of elders in a conference in the School of Oriental and African Studies.

The Native Spirit Foundation is an organisation funded and directed by indigenous peoples. It aims to bring people closer to the truths and realities of native peoples and to support indigenous education in their communities.

INRODUCTION: Annual get together party is held once a year in view to unite all Sunuwars and meet each other share SUKHA DUKHA KA KURA HARU. Furthermore due to hectic life of the UK it is not possible to meet each other even next door neighbour every day.  This is the only day we could meet and have chat with members and relatives residing various places .More importantly it is our responsible to preserve our culture and tradition and pass it over to to next generation. The fourth annual get together party is taking place at Oak farm Community School Farnborough on Saturday 2^nd of Oct. 2010.

सुनुवार कलाकार तथा चलचित्रकर्मी समाज, केन्दृय समितिको प्रथम वार्षिक साधारण सभा सम्पन्न भयो । साधारण सभालाइ सम्बोधन गर्दै प्रमुख अतिथि श्रीमति दालकुमारी सुनुवार ज्युले संस्थाको उत्तरोतर प्रगतिको कामना गर्नुभयो । आदिवासी जनजाति चलचित्र महासंघका महा-सचिव प्रतिमा पुन मगर ज्युले सम्पुर्ण आदिवासी कलाकारहरु एक ढिक्का भएर अगाडि बढ्नुपर्ने धारणा राख्नुभयो ।

साधारण सभाले ९ सदस्यिय नयाँ गठन गरेको छ ।

तीसको दशकमा जुन जोस र जाँगार बोकेर आफ्नै गोजीको खर्चले वनारस पुगेर पुस्तक छपाई गाउँ गाउँमा निःशूल्क बाँढे । तर कोइँचले उनको पुस्तकलाई महत्वहीन वस्तु ठाने । कसैले पढी दिएनन् । उनले सोचेँ, जनइच्छा विपरीत कुनै काम गर्नुृ मूर्खता हो । र, लेख्नै छाडे । उनले कोइँच भाषाको ठाडो भाकामा तीनवटा गीत लेखेको पनि पैतीस वर्ष नाघेउ । हो, अहिले पनि कोइँच भाषामा साहित्य सिर्जना र कोइँचको जनचासो त्यस्तै छ । कोइँच बन्न नसकेका सुनुवारहरु अभैm पनि कोइँच भाषामा बोल्ने, लेख्नेलाई पाखेको संज्ञा दिन्छन् र आफु शहरिया विकासित समाजको भेडो सम्झिन्छन् । खोइ कुन्नी कुन मुहुर्तमा उनले यस कामको थालनी गरे । पहिलो गाँसमै ढुंगा परेछ । उनले अर्को कृति लेख्ने जोशजाँगर नै चलाएनन् वा कोइँचहरुले चलाइदिएनन् । बेपत्तासित हराइ दिए – साहित्यिक फाँटबाटै । यसो भेट्नेहरुलाई पनि थाहा छैन उनी कोइँच भाषामा गीत लेख्ने पहिलो व्यक्ति हुन् । के गर्दै छन् त ती कोइँच श्रष्टा हिजोआज ? सबैलाई चासो जाग्नु स्वभाविक हो । आउँदो श्रष्टा स्तम्भमा उनीसँग तपाईको भेटघाट गराउने छौं । सुनुवार डट ओआरजि log on गर्दै रहनुहोस् …

भाषा, साहित्य, कला–संस्कृति हाम्रो पहिचान : जातिय स्वायत्त राज्यले मात्र गर्छ संरक्षण ।
यालाखोम, १९ भदौ । आज क्युइँतबु कल्याण कोषको पाँचौं साधारण सभा समापन भयो। प्रमुख अतिथिमा सुनुवार सेवा समाजका अध्यक्ष टंकराम सुनुवार अतिथिहरुमा टिकाराम मुलिचा, मनप्रसाद सुनुवार, वाइ वि सुनुवार, चम्पक सुनुवार, गोपाल सुनुवार, गुञ्जबहादुर सुनुवार, ले. मानबहादुर सुनुवारहरु हुनुहुन्थ्यो भने कार्यक्रमको अध्यक्षता रणवीर सुनुवारले गर्नुभएको थियो र उत्कृष्ट सुनुवार विद्यार्थी प्रोत्सहन पुरस्कार–२०६७ खिँजी काती गाविस वडा नं ४ का भुवान सुनुवारको छोरा विक्की सुनुवारले ८८.८ प्रतिशत अंक प्राप्त गरी यस वर्षको उत्कृष्ट विद्यार्थी पुरस्कार प्राप्त गर्नु भयो ।
